Iran is ready to restart atomic discussions with the United States provided that it is treated with "dignity" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has announced.

Abbas Araghchi declared exclusively dialogue was effective, and shared new appeals had come from intermediaries to resume negotiations with the Trump administration. He said Iran did not have undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran could not yet permit the International Atomic Energy Agency to access struck enrichment centers for safety concerns.

Navigating a Challenging Route

Araghchi is navigating a challenging path since Iran aims to avoid be perceived to be operating from a position of disadvantage, and he emphatically stated that Iran had arisen stronger defensively and emotionally from the joint assault on its enrichment centers in June.

He was speaking at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an inalienable right to enrich uranium within its borders that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the impasse in the previous talks.

Previous Talks Abruptly Concluded

The previous five rounds of talks between the US and Iran were ended suddenly and acrimonious end on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, attacked Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that ended with the US president declaring the sites had been destroyed. Afterward, European countries exercised their privilege to reinstate global restrictions, but Iran asserts they have not had a major impact.

Magic Solution Offered

Iranian officials claimed they felt they had achieved a "perfect agreement" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was settled an domestic cooperative with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium. The two nations would have been able to declare success since domestic enrichment would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's nuclear programme was entirely non-military.

It had not been agreed in the negotiations that American atomic experts could function within Iranian territory, but that was a natural consequence of the partnership suggestion. Officials stated repeatedly they had reached agreement with the US representative Steve Witkoff only for the agreement to disintegrate due to "opponents in the US".

Existing Position

Tehran representatives said the consortium offer was now no longer available, but it seems very probable the offer could be resurrected in certain ways if discussions restart.

Trump in recent days said he had been getting signals that Iran sought to reopen negotiations, but in private Iran's diplomats say they are not yet obtaining coherent offers from the United States either directly or from key regional mediators, such as the Qatari government, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and Saudi Arabia. The Iran's state department has been charged of inactivity in the face of Washington's unmediated tactics, but Tehran asserts diplomacy is not part of a spectacle.

Diplomatic Stance

In his speech to the gathering, intended to paint the US as a dominant force that abuses the concept of worldwide standards, the foreign minister declared the 12-day war demonstrated the clash could not be settled by military means. He stated the strikes started with a American requirement for an unconditional Iranian surrender and ended with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is assured the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were mounted with complete American awareness and collaboration, making confidence difficult to reestablish.

Araghchi said: "It was not Iran that had deserted negotiations; it was America and the Western nations that had consistently sought to dictate their desires during the discussions. Diplomacy can still be viable and continues the primary solution to resolve disputes, but its criteria, guidelines and principles must be respected."

"Provided that they speak to the nation of Iran with the tone of dignity and honor, they will receive a reply in the identical tone."

Repair and Recovery

In what is portrayed by Iran's diplomats as the conflict of restoration and rebuilding, the foreign minister claimed he was confident Iran's defence capabilities "are considerably enhanced than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been reestablished. We learned multiple understandings from this engagement; we have come to know our personal limitations and the shortcomings of the adversary."

He added: "We successfully passed this engagement. Our nuclear technology, which they intended to eliminate, remains in place. The sites and machinery, if eliminated, will be restored; what is important is the determination of the Iranian people and then the social solidarity that they targeted, but failed to break. The Iranian people have become more powerful, more united, and more supportive of the leadership and the state in the face of this assault."
